Glastonbury is best known for its contemporary music, but also features dance, comedy, theatre, circus, cabaret and many other arts. Infact it is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world.
Glastonbury normally takes place on the last full weekend of June, and is known to take a year off now and then to give both the land (a working farm) and the locals a chance to recover.
